This summer, in order to help the freshmen from Grade 7 to better adapt to the study and life of junior high school, we arranged the vivid and interesting 'Six Ones' activities for the new students, among which the activity 'Visiting the historical sites of Anqing and recording our own feelings' was well received and loved. More remarkably, the outcome of the visit was more brilliant and wonderful!
To start with, the old town of Anqing City has a history of more than 800 years, and there are many landmark buildings with a long history. The students recorded what they saw with photos, what they heard with words, and their feelings in the form of pictures, texts and graphics. After the beginning of the new semester, they communicated and shared with teachers and students, during which we selected some unique works, shared and felt the charm of the ancient city of Anqing with more partners.
Look! The ancient sites visited by the students are so colorful! Some of the students paid homage to the former residence of Zhao Puchu and had a dialogue with the famous calligrapher and Buddhist leader across time and space. Some of them went to the Dragon Gate, stepped upon Anqing Watchtower, and experienced the grandeur and solemnity of the old imperial examination rooms; Some climbed the tower, looker far into the distance, had a panoramic view of the infinite landscape,  and listened to the surging river with roaring waves while others walked into the recently renovated Daopashi Street Block and listened to their mothers tell stories of its past between the black tiles and red walls...
On the whole, walking around the old city, students gained a lot and had deep feelings in that Anqing's long history and culture infiltrated everyone living here. Therefore,  we students should go to know her, promote her, care for her, and let her offer us the vivid first lesson in our new semester!
